Spencer Montgomery

Master Plumber

Spencer runs a van, a camera reel, and the phone that rings at 2 a.m. Master plumber MP #7194. If it is under a slab, in a crawl space, or frozen to the wall, he has already been in a worse one.

Keith Walls

Master Plumber

Keith grew up in Corning riding jobs with his father, Sylvester “Tiddle” Walls. He has been plumbing since the 1970s. In 2005 he took his master license — MP #5563. He is still the one in the hole: mud on the jeans, shovel in the trench, waving at the camera.

Corning · Clay County

Keith and Tiddle.

Keith Walls grew up in Corning watching his father, Sylvester “Tiddle” Walls, work as a plumber. Tiddle spent his life in the trade — houses, shops, and farm jobs around Clay County — and Keith learned the work the old way: riding along, handing tools, and picking up how a job ought to be done.

Tiddle had a line for the work: more than just a pretty face. The truck could look right. The job still had to hold. Keith kept the words.

Keith stayed in the work. In 2005 he earned his master plumber license in Arkansas — MP #5563. The vans still run as Arkansas Plumbing, and sometimes Keith Walls Plumbing, across this part of the state.

More than just a pretty face.

Tiddle’s line. Still on the excavator.
